We’ve all been here…
You and your girl are in the bedroom.
Things are getting steamy. You’re all over each other.
Your eyes gazing deep into hers, while you know that’s not the only depth you’re after.
Your hands find their way beneath her clothes as you pull them off.
Bit by bit.
And now it’s your turn to undress.
She slips your shirt off. Then your trousers… next up your boxers.
Then, it’s the moment of truth.
You’ve been waiting for this. Waiting for her.
Waiting for hours, all night, maybe even all week. You’re excited and you’re ready.
… or are you?
Her legs are spread. She’s on the verge of drooling.
But something isn’t right.
No matter how much you try, you just can’t. Get. It. Up.
She sees you’re embarrassed.
You stammer ‘this doesn’t happen ever, I swear!’ as you stroke it and try to get it to play along.
She’s lovely and suggests giving you a blowjob to get your motor started.
But no dice.
You can’t raise your flag higher than half-mast…an accurate representation of the grief you’re feeling.
And now she’s embarrassed too. It’s uncomfortable.
You both want the floor to open up and swallow you whole.
If this rings a bell to you:
- You’re not alone. Not even close.
- It doesn’t have to be this way.
I’m gonna help you get through it in this article.
We’ll go through the beginning, middle and essentially, if you take my advice, the end of erectile dysfunction.
I’m tackling all of it so that you don’t need to spend hours searching: how do I stay hard for longer / limp dick / impotence / whiskey dick / WHY THE FUCK IS THIS HAPPENING TO ME
I’m going to share:
- Exactly WTF Erectile Dysfunction is
- 3 quick and dirty ways to get hard and stay hard
- 6 long-term solutions for longer, harder erections that you don’t have to rely on drugs, injections and.. Other questionable remedies.
- 6 medical conditions that keep you from getting hard
- Types of medicine and recreational drugs that kill your boner
- 4 psychological reasons why your sex life could be suffering (and of course, what to do about it)
- A way to blow your girl’s mind without using your penis (whether you struggle with ED or not – this method is good to know so that she’s begging for more, no matter what!)
Before we jump in, I have to make it clear none of this should be taken as professional medical advice.
If you feel you have a medical issue, I strongly suggest you see a doctor… because:
- They are better trained to diagnose this accurately and help you.
- ED is a medical condition. Don’t take anything in this article as medically reviewed advice.
- My lawyer asked me to.
Trust me, doctors have seen weirder stuff.
They deal with sexual health problems more than you can imagine. There could also be other underlying health problems, where ED is just one symptom.
So, if you’ve looked into your ED, taken the advice and still face problems, give your good ol’ doc a visit.
What Exactly Is Erectile Dysfunction (a Sexual Dysfunction)?
Erectile dysfunction is when your penis can’t get hard enough to have penetrative sex – or when you can get hard, but have trouble staying hard.
For several reasons, ED affects almost every man at one or other time in his life, whether he is 22 or 60, although it does become more of a problem as you pass 40.
What Causes Erectile Dysfunction?
It could be a first-time thing, an ongoing thing, a thing you understand, a thing you don’t… it all depends. And the more you get to know it, the more you can deal with and overcome it.
The frustrating thing about ED is how there are several causes for it.
Each one has a different solution, but they all have the same symptom… you can’t get hard or stay hard when you need to.
Knowing is half the battle.
Let’s get into it… so you can get into her.
A common oversight by lots of men when they can’t get it up and keep an erection is that it’s a symptom of a different health condition.
Sexual health is tied to the rest of the body. And sexual performance is overall, a measure of the body’s health.
In this case… treating the medical condition is often key in overcoming erectile dysfunction for life.
1. Type 2 diabetes
This is a big one.
Men with diabetes are two to three times more likely to develop chronic ED – this stems from potential nerve and blood vessel damage.
Type 2 diabetes is often associated with being overweight. And can usually be managed by getting to a healthier weight, and becoming fit.
2. Being overweight or lack of fitness
To have a healthy erectile function, your penis needs a steady flow of blood.
The problem starts when you gain extra fat, and this ends up messing with your circulation. The fat pinches your veins and arteries, and slows or disrupts your blood flow.
Or your cholesterol levels (often associated with high sodium intake) get so high that ends up clogging your blood vessels, preventing any flow down there.
3. Heart and blood vessel disease
The reason why heart disease causes ED is that your heart is what pumps the blood into your penis – which is what gets you hard when it’s time to get frisky.
When you have a heart condition, it means you aren’t pumping enough blood down there to get any action going.
This is worsened if you have any blood vessel diseases.
4. High blood pressure
Otherwise known as hypertension, this condition will totally kill your erection. High blood pressure damages artery walls, causing them to harden and narrow, reducing blood flow to the penis.
Because of this, ED is often an early symptom of hypertension and high BP.
Men with high BP are twice as likely to have a harder time getting and maintaining an erection than those without.
Plus, as I’ll take you through soon, medicines prescribed for high BP often worsen any signs of ED.
5. Injuries to the penis, spinal cord, prostate, bladder, or pelvis
Unlike the other medical conditions, these have to do with physical damage to the penis or other parts of the body which aid in giving you an erection.
The end result is that you end up not having the physical ability to have an erection.
Depending on the injury it can be treatable but rarely curable.
Additional physical ailments that affect your ability to stay hard include:
- Having a history of arterial trauma
- Scleroderma (stiffening or hardening of the skin)
- Kidney failure
- Liver cirrhosis
- Too much iron in the blood
- Nerve damage
6. Low Testosterone levels
Low T-levels are a real doozy when we’re talking about how they cause ED.
Because testosterone is the hormone that makes you feel sexual desire. Testosterone is what gives you that drive to go out and get shit done.
This is part of the reason why some of the most productive men have high T-levels. So when your T-levels are low, you’ll feel unmotivated to do anything.
- You’re likely to have a low sex drive AND
- You could find it hard to even get aroused AND
- You could find it hard to stay hard and maintain an erection
With all this being said, TRT (Testosterone Replacement Therapy) has not been seen to help treat ED in men with normal T-levels in the majority of cases. In fact, according to this study, the results are split.
But it still generally holds that if your T-levels are normal then you don’t need TRT.
Medicine & Recreational Drugs
Let’s talk about another reason for poor erectile health. – many common medicines and recreational drugs.
It’s one of those side effects they never quite bother writing on the bottle for some reason – honestly, probably because people just don’t talk about it much.
Usually, treating ED caused by these is as simple as switching the medicine or stopping the drug in question.
Now, this may not always be possible, or easy for that matter, depending on the drug.
Examples of medicines and drugs which cause ED include:
1. Blood pressure medicine (which reduces blood pressure in your erections)
To be clear, not all BP medicines are associated with ED. But there have been enough cases to include these in the list.
Medicines such as diuretics and beta-blockers may make it difficult to get and keep an erection.
- ACE Inhibitors
- Calcium channel blockers and
- Angiotensin II receptor blockers
..don’t seem to kill erections.
Too much alcohol consumption affects both of your heads in many ways.
- It can stop you from getting an erection at all
- It can make your erection weak
- It can stop you from orgasming
- It can decrease your sex drive
One or two drinks to take the edge off is still alright, but anything past tipsy could catch you off guard.
First up drinking lots of alcohol causes your body’s fat levels to spike. This is what we know as the infamous “beer gut”.
The thing with fat tissue is it’s responsible for the creation of estrogen, the female hormone. This hormone imbalance messes with your sex drive and reduces your sexual function. And it tanks your T-levels.
Plus, alcohol dilates your blood vessels. So blood actually drains out of your erections faster. Resulting in softer, weaker erections that don’t last long.
Later in the article I’ll tell you about my struggle with alcohol. And how I overcame it.
3. Marijuana (Weed, Cannabis)
This one is a bit complicated. Why?
Because for some it causes ED. And for others, it helps cure it.
But if you can’t seem to get or maintain an erection – and you are a regular user of marijuana – try stopping it for a bit and see if that changes anything.
If you do notice a change but still want to continue to use Marijuana – experiment with other forms, like vaping or edibles to see if your sexual health changes or stays the same.
It goes without saying that smoking is bad for you. I mean, it’s written right there on the box.
Aside from the harm it does to your lungs, what’s more relevant for this conversation is how it affects your sexual performance in the bedroom.
Between bouts of trying to gasp for air because your lung capacity is low…you’ll also have difficulty staying hard.
Nicotine constricts the blood vessels in your body. Affecting blood flow to the penis, making it even harder for blood to pump into your erection.
Psychological Causes of Erectile Dysfunction
I know what you’re thinking:
“Psychological? Charles… are you trying to say my ED is all in my head? Will I need a straight jacket to be able to get hard?”
No. Except for the part about the straight jacket… if you’re into that kinda stuff.
ED is way more psychological than most people realize.
It’s normal to think you getting a raging erection is an entirely physical process. But that’s not the case.
Your erection is the result of several factors in your body. All of them dancing together to the same tune (namely “You gonna get some sex!”). These factors are:
And to process all these and bring them all together, you need a clear head. And must be in a comfortable, relaxed state of mind.
Psychological erectile dysfunction (or psychogenic ED as it’s known) was once thought to be the most common form of ED.
Here’s what usually happens:
- A single experience with ED usually scars a man on an emotional level.
- It leaves a man going through significant emotional and psychological stress. (often a mix of anxiety, shame, low self-esteem, and stress)
- This is often worsened by the girl’s reaction.
- You basically mix the pot and experience a form of trauma, sometimes even as serious as post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), about this experience – further worsening the psychological effects.
This sucks (and not in the fun way.)
1. For some, it could be pure performance anxiety
The thing about performance anxiety is that it becomes a self ful-filling prophecy.
- When having sex with a woman for the first time
- When being nervous about pleasing your current partner
- When doing something new
- When you’re recalling bad memories
- Nerves, anxiety, tiredness – state of mind makes a bigger difference than you realize.
It all tends to lead to a situation of anxiety about this happening again – a self-feeding cycle. Once it starts, it often keeps making itself worse.
A potential solution for this would be a form of Self Exposure Response Therapy. I’ll share more about this a bit later on.
2. It’s not you. It’s me. Or is it you... or me?
A common mistake when trying to work through erectile dysfunction is thinking it’s an issue of arousal. The girl usually takes the lack of erections as a sign that you are simply not attracted to or turned on by her.
But that’s far from the truth. A guy can be fully aroused and still not get an erection.
So, what if you can be turned on but don’t want to have sex? Because of the shame you might feel and the anxiety caused by erectile dysfunction.
You could find a girl attractive and have her absolutely turn you on but simply, can’t bring yourself to sex.
So how do you tell the difference between a problem of arousal, and a problem of desire?
While your lady could have a hard time telling, since she isn’t you, here is a simple way to tell which problem you’re facing.
Do I want to sleep with her right now?
Is she turning me on?
Does she excite me?
If the answer to any of these is “yes”, then you’re aroused by her.
So the problem isn’t that you don’t want her. You clearly do. The problem is that despite wanting her, you still can’t get an erection.
Make sure to communicate this with her. So that she doesn’t blame herself.
But what if the answer is no?
Figure out why it’s a no and address it.
- Do you not find her attractive?
- Have you outgrown her?
- Are you being overstimulated?
- Is she bad in bed? (If so, get some world-class insight on how to manage this)
If the answer is no, it might not be an ED issue. It might be something else you need to confront:
3. Pornography addiction and excessive masturbation
The problem with porn and its effect on ED is twofold.
1. The more you watch porn, the more desensitized you become.
You may remember the first time you ever saw porn, I’m willing to bet, it didn’t take much to get you going.
Porn becomes dangerous when you stop making the distinction between entertainment and reality. It’s hard to get aroused by missionary with your wife when you’re watching gangbangs all day.
2. Porn trains your brain to be only able to get aroused by novel stimuli.
This messes you up, this is like crack for the male brain, it’s very difficult for our brain to distinguish between what we’re watching and what’s actually happening.
When you watch porn with a new woman every single time and then in your real life you try to go to bed with the woman you love each night, there will be issues.
You’ve scrambled your wires and now mini-you will only respond to what it thinks is a brand new woman.
Plus, pornography may have conditioned you to have unrealistic expectations for what women are like (and what they like).
This is part and parcel of excessive masturbation.
Because the stimulation from a hand is different from the stimulus you’d get from a real woman. Lots of guys masturbate with what we call a “death grip”. This is a grip so tight, no woman can replicate it.
They end up conditioning themselves to only be aroused and stimulated by that grip.
Resulting in them not being able to keep an erection during sex, if they can get one in the first place.
What makes this one peculiar is that it’s often treated by eliminating the cause of stress. It doesn’t have to be any specific type of stress either.
This can be job-related, money-related, or the result of other factors in life or lifestyle changes.
The bottom line is this…
High levels of stress make it hard to get comfortable enough to have an erection.
Stress and anxiety interrupt signals from your brain. These are the signals telling your body to increase blood flow to your penis.
This results in a dead-as-a-dodo-dick.
Think about what lifestyle changes or stressors have been introduced around the time you started having issues with your sexual activity – and then seek to eliminate the sources of that stress where feasible; or learn to manage them.
If you are unable to eliminate the sources of stress from your life immediately – then you want to take actions to reduce your experience of it in your day to day life.
This is a common cause of ED yet at the same time, not the most obvious.
It affects your sex drive – making it hard for you to feel the need to have sex…
It’s just kind of… “eh…”
But taking antidepressants puts you between a rock and a (not-so) hard place.
Depression kills your sex drive. But certain medicine prescribed to help treat depression can make your ED worse.
Now, some antidepressants don’t have this effect. Like Zoloft.
Possible Solution: If the medication you’re taking has an anti-anxiety component (Say like Lexapro) this will murder your erections, and make it borderline impossible for you to get or stay hard.
The Best Solution: Talk with your doctor if you’re having ED as one of your side effects.
Things You’ve Been Told That Cure Ed But Are (Probably) Bullshit
Another mistake is overly relying on medicine and pills, when in fact they’re more like temporary solutions and potentially causing more future harm.
In the end, while those do help sometimes, you should focus on solving the actual causes of ED so you have a much more sustainable solution.
Due to the nature of ED, it is possible to get a bit desperate and try anything you come across.
And trust me, some of the cures out there are plain weird.
1. Rhino horn
In certain cultural beliefs, it’s said that the strength of the rhino horn translates directly to erections. Not only is this one illegal, but it also has never been proven to work for erections.
Additionally, buying it supports the poaching of endangered rhinos in Africa.
Though results are mixed, a 1999 study found that 39% of participants had improved quality of erections and restored sexual activity.
A later study, published in 2003 reported that 21% of ED patients who got acupuncture had improved erections.
However, there’s no real scientific backing to acupuncture helping with ED.
There is decent evidence suggesting it helps with blood flow, which is probably why it helps some men with their ED. And in other cases, its relaxing effect probably contributes to the improved blood flow in the penis.
And no, they don’t stick the needles in your dick and make it look like Hellraiser.
Long story short… It’s pretty much a hit or miss.
It could potentially be worth experimenting with if nothing else helps, but don’t put too much hope into it. Either way acupuncture leaves you feeling relaxed.
How to Get an Erection and Stay Harder for Longer - While Overcoming ED
Now when it comes to curing this sexual dysfunction known as ED, all solutions come in 2 flavors:
- Short-term fix
- Work for flings and one-night stands
- Masks the problem and provides a temporary solution. The root cause is still there.
- You need it every time you want to get and maintain an erection
- It’s not sustainable
- Long-term fix
- Take a bit longer to see results but they’re ideal
- Fixes the root problem
- Especially good if you don’t want to rely on pills, drugs, injections, and pumps.
In the beginning, it may feel hopeless but even before you have all this under control, there’s still hope.
You see if you have a good approach to foreplay, it can help overcome some of the frustration on the woman’s end – and potentially get out of your head.
If your foreplay is good enough you can get a woman addicted to you without an erection at all
The thing is – with foreplay alone- you could even blow her mind and leave her satisfied before the sex has even begun, and this is likely to take pressure off you, lowering your sexual performance anxiety.
Studies suggest 25% of women orgasm consistently through vaginal stimulation alone.
But when it comes to direct clitoral stimulation, say through fingering, oral sex, or with toys, you can get that up to 80-90% of women orgasming almost every single time.
Essentially, you can leave your woman satisfied with just your mouth, fingers and if you both feel like it, toys.
This is important to consider. Especially if you’re in a situation where the cause of your ED is something that can’t be cured or treated.
If you want to know how to master foreplay then check out my collection of 6 free videos BANNED from YouTube covering all the fundamentals that you need to blow your woman’s mind.
If you keep her satisfied, ED won’t drive her away or cause unnecessary friction while you learn how to overcome it.
Band-aids for short-term fixes
1. Viagra and Cialis
Viagra is one of the most well-known treatments for ED on the market. An alternative for viagra, could be the drug Cialis.
Both of them are taken in pill form, and the effects show after a few hours.
So stimulation and sensitivity might be less than what you’d expect and they’re going to last longer than you might be used to.
Plus some of the side effects can be quite unpleasant.
If your erections last longer than a few hours, you might want to go see a doctor.
2. Panax Ginseng
Called the herbal viagra. An East Asian herb used for centuries to treat erectile dysfunction.
How effective is it?
Well, legend has it that Ancient Korean kings used to take it when they needed to raise the flag and wage war.
Panax Ginseng is usually taken orally and you should start seeing the effects in a few hours. (How it’s taken depends on the form you get).
Usually either in pills or in teas (if you’re a more cultured man).
How it works is still being studied. But studies suggest the herb releases Nitric Oxide. This relaxes the blood vessels in the penis, allowing for a strong, firm erection.
Depending on how you use it, this one could be short-term… taken as a one-time solution.
Or it could be a long-term solution. This is because it acts as an adaptogen, and you can take it continually with no harm as long as you cycle off it from time to time. This will keep it from messing up your body’s chemistry.
Look, I know the idea of jabbing yourself down there with a needle sounds really scary but hear me out on this one.
What this is, is an alprostadil self-injection. You use a fine needle to inject alprostadil into the base or side of the penis.
Each injection gives you an erection lasting no longer than an hour. Pain from the shot is usually minor because the needle is so fine.
But this one is not a workable long-term solution.
Aside from the fact that you’re sticking a needle into your dick, it takes away from the spontaneous fun of sex.
Plus it means you would have to walk around with a needle everywhere you go.
Cures for more long-term relief
These solutions on the other hand are way more long-term and are far more sustainable.
1. Dealing with the underlying health issues
ED is a sexual dysfunction caused by underlying health issues that should be sorted by dealing with the main health issues.
In the end, if you want to cure ED and have the right health information to fix what’s causing it, talk to your doctor. They are more than willing to help you with this.
While pills and medicine may help short term, it’s not sustainable to always rely on them to get an erection.
2. Getting help for anxiety and stress
Try to see how you can tackle the sources of stress and anxiety you’re dealing with.
Sometimes this may need professional help to guide you through the process.
But it’s key to get a clear idea of what is causing the stress, then get it taken care of. If you’re with someone, discuss it with her so she understands what’s going on.
If the problem is linked to performance anxiety… or anxiety caused by past sexual failures, then the answer lies in overcoming the fear of sexual performance.
When you’ve failed to perform in bed and satisfy a woman, especially if it happens a few times… it starts eating away at your confidence, until you hate the idea of having sex and you’re too scared to even try.
A potential solution for this would be Self Exposure Response Therapy.
What is that?
Well, think of it like lifting a weight that is a bit too big for you to handle with good form. The idea is to force your body to adjust to the new resistance. Likewise in this form of therapy.
It works by getting you to confront your fears, and anxiety around sexual activity head-on.
Bit-by-bit. Without any pressure on yourself to “get it right”.
The idea is to force the fear out by confronting it.
One way to do this is to try to have sex… but don’t try to put any pressure on yourself to get hard, stay hard, or give a great sexual performance.
Don’t focus on the outcome. Instead, focus on the act.
The outcome doesn’t matter here.
Getting started and seeing it through is the goal.
Practise this and deliberately recognize progress.
To further manage your anxiety, consider seeing a professional or getting some insight on how to handle it with these books: The Noonday Demon, by Andrew Solomon and Feeling Good: The New Mood Therapy by David Burns
3. Getting on top of your mental calmness and control
Meditation. It might sound woo woo, but it has thousands of studies backing it up, 10 minutes a day is usually enough to have a dramatic effect, try headspace to get started.
Regular sauna or hot bath. Exposing yourself to heat has been proven to have a surprising amount of beneficial effects including a reduction in your experience of stress.
Breathe. Stress may be psychological, but it affects us physically.
Luckily it works both ways, we can hack our system by breathing in certain ways, we force our physiology to become relaxed and our mind follows suit. Meditation additionally helps with deliberate and rhythmic breathing.
Lift weights. Heavy weights. Reduce stress, improve ED, look sexy. Win, win, win.
Improve your sleep. If you are not getting around 8+ hours of uninterrupted sleep every night, you are suffering the consequences. If you suffer from sleep disorders, consider going to a sleep clinic.
4. Lifestyle changes - beginning with alcohol
Alcohol is broken down into estrogen in the liver.
This is one of the reasons why excessive alcohol intake causes erectile dysfunction.
Getting your drinking under control for your sexual health and otherwise.
A slight tangent, I was a heavy drinker for 10 years. I would get blackout drunk 2-3 times, most weeks.
It never caused ED for me, but it caused a whole host of other problems, including nearly getting killed multiple times.
Nothing helped me to cut down, until I read this book. Cutting down will ripple everywhere – in life, in the bedroom, at work, with your sleep and relationships. You get the bang for your buck – a hundred times over.
Now don’t get me wrong, I’m not saying this is the cure for everyone. All I’m saying is that it worked for me. I haven’t had a drink since 2017.
If you have a problem, don’t get down on yourself if one approach doesn’t work for you, keep trying different things until you find what does.
I have suggested this book to many people, some had the same results as me, others hated it. Some people swear by AA, others hate it. There’s more than one way to skin a cat.
This one is hard. Quitting is a game of willpower.
But aside from the benefits of quitting your respiratory system, your cardiovascular system also sees massive improvements.
The improved blood flow to your penis will give you stronger, and harder erections. Plus you and your room won’t smell like cigarettes.
A double win, if you ask me. Especially since most non-smoking ladies typically hate the tobacco smell.
As an added bonus you’ll probably live longer too.
Now as I stated before, it’s not easy to quit – it’s probably one of the hardest things you’re going to do but the benefits speak for themselves.
Again, this is a situation where there are multiple methods to quitting.
The author I mentioned before also has a book for quitting smoking that is even more successful:
Allen Carr’s Easy Way to Stop Smoking
I know multiple people who read this book and never picked up another cigarette again.
But yet again, I also know people who hated it. Find what works for you, my dad had a 40 year 40 cigarette a day habit, and nothing helped him quit until he tried nicotine lozenges.
Just don’t quit on quitting, keep trying until you find what works for you.
5. Testosterone replacement (but only if you’ve been diagnosed with low T-levels)
Some men have erectile dysfunction that might be caused by low levels of T-levels.
This is far more common in older men than younger men.
Usually, having erectile dysfunction while you have normal T-levels is a sign of another problem. Here are a few signs of low testosterone to keep an eye out for:
- Reduced sex drive
- Reduced erectile function
- Loss of body hair
- Less beard growth
- Loss of muscle mass, especially if you’re working out
- Feeling fatigued all the time for no reason
- Feeling symptoms of depression
If any combination of these ring true to you, you might want to naturally try to increase your testosterone levels, or go get your T-levels checked.
But, T-levels are dropping. In fact, there has been an average drop of 1% per year since the 1980s – but there are ways to slow this down.
Ideally, you’d want to approach this naturally if possible.
- Get some insight on 5 great methods to boost your testosterone
- Check out the foods that could help – the list includes chocolate, avocado and cheese so I won’t deprive you of all joy in life
- See what could be lowering your testosterone without you realizing it
Alternatively, you could try testosterone replacement therapy (TRT)
TRT should be taken under the supervision of a doctor.
Don’t just read up a few guides on the internet, buy some backstreet testosterone, and start pumping yourself with the stuff. That’ll mess your endocrine system up – badly.
This is because when you start adding testosterone from outside your body, your body could adapt by stopping its own testosterone production.
Testosterone abuse could lead to acne, the early onset of cardiovascular disease and blood clots.
So be sure to follow the doctor’s instructions.
And get regular feedback to make sure you’re not causing any long-term damage, especially to your body’s natural testosterone production.
TRT should be a last resort after exhausting the natural solutions for raising your testosterone.
In the following sections, I will provide you multiple ways to raise your testosterone naturally.
Now, this is a solution you can practice right at home. This is where you squeeze your pelvic floor muscles to strengthen them.
Don’t be fooled by the medical jargon… It’s easier than you think.
Pelvic floor muscles are the muscles you squeeze to stop the flow of urine when you’re draining the sea monster.
Just pretend you’re peeing (or actually peeing) and try to stop the flow.
These workouts help increase blood flow to your pelvis area, helping with the erection. Plus when you do Kegels, you work out the muscle groups in the pelvic area which are active during an erection (ischiocavernosus and bulbocavernosus muscles).
Ideally, this exercise should be your first line of treatment when you’re experiencing ED. Since it doesn’t normally need a visit to the doctor’s office.
Check out these Kegel exercises to get you started.
Vitamins and Supplements
A lot of ED patients are lacking these vitamins.
So supplementing them might help, but as I said, there’s no guarantee.
Vitamin D: It’s been found that a large percentage of men with ED also have low levels of vitamin D. If you have persistent ED you might want to get your vitamin D levels checked.
Aside from taking supplements, you can get more vitamin D by standing in the sun.
You should have about 4000iu’s of vitamin D each day.
The more Vitamin D you take, the more Vitamin “D” you can give.
It doesn’t just help with ED, it is one of the most important supplements you can take for overall health.
Zinc: As with Vitamin D, low levels of zinc have also been found in men with ED. The thing about zinc though is the massive role it plays in your reproductive system.
Low levels of zinc have been shown to cause less developed testes and a reduced sperm count.
Zinc also helps produce testosterone.
Plus, it’s been found that a moderate daily dose of zinc helps with premature ejaculation.
DHEA: It’s been found that some men with ED have low levels of DHEA. This doesn’t mean it’s a definite cause, as your case may be different. But tests have shown its effectiveness in treating ED.
Aside from potentially helping increase blood flow, it works by helping increase testosterone-like compounds in the bloodstream.
However, this one is a more long-term solution than the others.
In fact, it takes about 8 weeks to start seeing results, and 16 weeks before the changes are more consistent.
On top of the ED and testosterone effects, DHEA and Omega 3 in general is also one of those supplements with a benefits list as long as your arm
L-citrulline: This supplement is often used to boost nitric oxide production in the body. This helps the arteries relax, improving blood flow to your plasma cannon of pleasure down there.
How it works is very similar to drugs like viagra, where it helps in the production of nitric oxide.
Exercise helps to improve blood flow and has stress-relieving properties thanks to endorphins. It also helps lose weight and will have good effects on arteries and vessels.
Now just because I said you must exercise it doesn’t mean you have to live in the gym. Contrary to popular belief you only need about 3-4 one-hour sessions per week.
Working out will: heighten T-levels and get your missus’ heart racing a little quicker when she feels your muscles becoming defined.
Cardio is essential for heart rate. Jogging, jump rope, heck… even jumping jacks.
You could easily build a home gym for cheap if you buy second-hand weight and equipment.
Don’t let the second-hand part rub you the wrong way, it’s not like weights wear out or get lighter with age.
All I ask of you, is that you start and that you don’t stop.
When it comes to exercise for ED you want to focus on 2 things:
- Workouts that increase your testosterone
- Workouts good for cardiovascular health
Luckily there are two types of exercise that do these things effectively, and not only that, but they do it in the shortest amount of time too, compared to other exercises.
1. High-Intensity Interval Training:
2. Heavy compound exercises
Additionally, an easy routine to get into is the 5×5. Here’s how it works:
In 5×5 you have 5 sets of 5 reps with the same weight.
- You squat 5 sets of 5 reps with a 20kg weight. Resting for 90 seconds between sets.
- Then you do 5 sets of 5 reps of the barbell bench press.
- Then you do 5 sets of 5 reps of the bent-over barbell row.
… each time you work out, you try to add a bit more weight to your last lifts.

And not only are these the two best types of exercises for testosterone and blood flow, but they also happen to be the best exercises to turn you into a sexy mother lover that your woman can’t keep her hands off.
Working out also ensures you stay hydrated.
Dehydration lowers your blood volume and makes you groggy.
And don’t let your thirst tell you that you’re dehydrated, that’s too late.
While Erectile dysfunction is something every man goes through in life, it’s when the problem recurs that it becomes a problem – and when you don’t know how to manage it.
When tackling how to keep and maintain an erection there are two ways to choose from.
Band-aid solutions or long-term cures.
While a quick-fix, one-time solution, works for one-night stands or flings, I prefer long-term solutions.
In the long run, you should aim to tackle the source of Erectile Dysfunction. This is because, while band-aids offer temporary relief, they only hide the cause… they don’t cure it.
This is why you’ll have to try the more long-term solutions for a much healthier sex life.
So while you may be battling the issue of ED, there’s something else that can help you entirely.
I made a series of videos on YouTube that got pulled because they were ‘unfit’ for the general public.
I don’t know why we don’t talk about these things more. I’ve felt the benefits of being better in bed and so have hundreds of men and their partners.
